The method involves reducing an output current (Ifc) of a fuel cell (2) when a battery voltage (Ubat) exceeds a first predetermined critical value. The pressure in the fuel cell is reduced if the output current falls below a second predetermined critical value. An output voltage (Ufc) of the fuel cell is measured and compared with a third predetermined critical value. The battery voltage is measured if the output voltage exceeds the third critical value. The output current of the fuel cell is changed if a battery charge state (SOC) is different from a fourth predetermined critical value. |
