The device (1) has a main part (2) comprising a releasable locking unit (12). The locking unit is selectively retained or released with a movement in a first direction (II-II) by an electromagnetic retaining unit (6). A mechanical retaining unit (7) is slidably mounted in a second direction (III-III). A locking nose (11) and a retaining recess (5) are arranged into contact with each another by a linear bearing. The linear bearing is extended over a third direction in which a plane is defined by the second direction and by a longitudinal axis.
