PURPOSE: A communication interface method for a secure element which is mounted in a mobile device and a secure element using the same are provided to reduce the memory of the secure element by simplifying an applet. CONSTITUTION: A program architecture for communication with a server includes a toolkit applet(171-1,171-2,171-3), a CH[Connection Handler](173), a toolkit framework(175), and a COS[Card Operating System](177). The COS is an OS about a USIM card. The toolkit framework defines a template, a class, and a library to be used in the toolkit applet. The CH interfaces with the toolkit applet and is connected in order to enable communication with a communication service provider server through a mobile phone.
