PURPOSE: A system and a method for collecting an autonomous underwater vehicle are provided to quickly and safely collect the autonomous underwater vehicle by launching a collecting wire to a command ship with a launching device installed in the autonomous underwater vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A system for collecting an autonomous underwater vehicle(2) comprises a launching device(3) and an electric winch(5). The launching device is installed in the autonomous underwater vehicle to launch a collecting wire(31) to a command ship(1). The electric winch is installed in the command ship and is coupled to the collecting wire launched by the launching device.
