The apparatus (1) has an electric tubular motor and a gear box integrated in a housing (2). An integrated controller and/or separate controller provided in a separate shift element. A connecting unit (12) i.e. socket (14), is integrated in the shift element and connects external electrical appliances with the apparatus such that the electrical appliances are controlled over the connecting unit by the controller. The electrical appliances are supplied with current by a power source for the apparatus, where the apparatus is supplied with a direct current at low voltage of 24 V. The electrical appliances consist of a fan (11), window closing units, alarm installations, awning drives, shadowing facilities and interior venetian blinds.
