The device i.e. touchscreen device (100) has a display device (12) and a touch panel device (241) associated with the display device, where the touch panel device includes electrically conductive members formed in a grid pattern. A carrier film (261) is applied on the components of the display device such that a surface (22) of the display device appears black in an off state, and the surface of the display device is observable in an on state through a polarizer, where a part of the electrical conductive members is arranged on a side facing a viewing side of the carrier film. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a film.
