<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrophone capable of reducing noise while securing a detection frequency band using a compact wave receiving element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this hydrophone with the wave receiving element which outputs a signal based on received sound waves, the wave receiving element is fixed in a casing 101 filled with a sound medium 102, and a tuning plate 103 which vibrates in response to a sound pressure is constituted on any face of the casing 101.
