<p>A mobile device (such as a mobile phone, smart phone, tablet or laptop computer) identifies, 204, licensed content (such as sporting events, pay per view movies or other multimedia content) being presented by a local presentation device (such as a television set or projector.) Once the mobile device receives the licence 208 it is then able to receive 210 and display the licensed content in a format suitable for mobile presentation 212. The mobile device may be eligible to receive the licensed content if, for example, it is located within a certain distance of the local presentation device 207. The invention enables a user to view licensed multimedia content that is currently being shown on, for example, a TV screen in a bar or pub on their own mobile device as long as they remain within the confines of the premises.</p> |
