<p>PURPOSE: A treating method of a crusty tin oxide is provided to reduce the rate of tin dioxide on the surface of tin monoxide particles without materially forming metal tin. CONSTITUTION: A treating method of a crusty tin oxide comprises: a step of providing a plurality of tin monoxide particles partially including a surface coating of tin dioxide into a container(15); and a step of treating the tin monoxide particles using a reducing agent. In the second step, tin metal is not materially formed. The tin monoxide particles do not contain platinum. The reduction potential of the reducing agent is 0.15V or less. The reducing agent is gas, and comprises gas selected from CO, H2, or a mixture thereof. The tin monoxide particles can be easily dissolved in organic sulfonic acid.</p> |
