摘要 PURPOSE: A boosting control system of an electric vehicle and a method thereof are provided to control boosting for adjusting a motor torque output rate according to the degree of a driving load in case of mounting a slope or suddenly accelerating, thereby increasing or decreasing torque in the same APS(Accelerator Position Sensor) value like an automatic transmission vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A boosting control system(100) of an electric vehicle includes an inclined sensing unit(110), an APS(120), a speed sensing unit(130), a first output rate determining unit(140), a second output rate determining unit(150), and a control unit(160). The inclined sensing unit measures an inclined angle of a slope. The APS senses an operating state of an accelerator pedal. The speed sensing unit senses a speed of the electric vehicle. The first output rate determining unit determines a motor torque output rate based on an inputted APS value during normal driving. The second output rate determining unit determines a higher motor torque output rate than the first output rate determining unit based on the inputted APS value during high load driving. The control unit determines whether the electric vehicle is in a state of the high load driving and controls motor output torque using the first output rate.
