<p>A device configured to determine malfunctioning of at least one vehicle component (1), comprising: a storage unit (6) containing: component data associated to corresponding vehicle components (2); one or more states of failure of the vehicle component (2); reference thermographic maps associated to a condition of proper operation of each vehicle component (2), and a pre-set emissivity value indicating the emissivity of the component (2) in the state of failure. The device further comprising: an interface unit (7) for selecting a vehicle component (2) to be diagnosed, and a possible state of failure of the vehicle component (2) itself; a thermographic camera (4) configured so as to measure the intensity of the infrared radiation emitted by the component (2), determining a sample thermographic map of the component (2) on the basis of the intensity of the measured infrared radiation and as a function of a first calibration parameter indicating the emissivity and of a second calibration parameter indicating the reflected temperature; and a processing unit (5) configured in such a way as to determine the emissivity value associated to the state of failure of the component (2) selected so as to assign it automatically to the first calibration parameter of the thermographic camera (4).</p> |
