The method involves gluing a temporary adhesive unit (S1) to a planar surface of an application tool by application of a heat input. The application tool is equipped (S2) at the temporary adhesive unit with magnets, where the magnets are applied (S4) to the rotor by a pressure unit. A stencil is configured such that the magnets are protected from clamping together. A foam material carrier of the temporary adhesive unit is melted for removing (S6) of the temporary adhesive unit that is formed as a double-sided adhesive band. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for applying a magnetic pole on a rotor (2) a rotor of an electric machine.
