METHOD FOR RI DETECTION IN LTE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A RI[Rank Indicator]detecting method in a LTE communication system is provided to determine whether received data is a RI signal or a signal comprised of pure data. CONSTITUTION: The bit value of a set position is extracted among bits included in a RI signal extracted from a received signal(S200). The average of the extracted bit value is calculated(S202). A RI is determined as 1 if the calculated average is over a first threshold, and a RI is determined as 2 if the calculated average is below a second threshold. A bit value is confirmed for each bit of a signal determined that a RI signal is included(S206). The number of bits which have a bit value smaller than 0 is calculated among the values of each bit used in order to calculate an average value exceeding the first threshold determining the RI as 1(S208). If the number of calculated bits is over a third threshold, a RI signal is determined that the RI signal is not included in the received signal(S210).
