<p>The invention relates to vehicle tires having a tread with circumferential grooves (1) running in the circumferential direction, wherein at least one of the groove flanks (3, 4) is composed of two groove flank sections (8, 9), of which the lower groove flank section (8) connecting to the groove base runs substantially in the radial direction (7) and the upper groove flank section (9) runs at an angle axially to the outside, whereby substantial widening of the circumferential groove (1) to the tread surface (6) as compared to the groove base (5) is achieved, wherein a rib (10) running in the circumferential direction is arranged at the groove base, and in a portion the groove flanks (3) are supported on the rib (10) when the vehicle pneumatic tire enters the ground contact area (11), whereby tension of the rubber material is reduced at the groove base (5), wherein the upper edge (12) of the rib is arranged beneath the trade surface (6).</p> |
