PURPOSE: Remote absorption spectroscopy by encoded electrical transmission is provided to measure a medium or components in the air by neglecting a scattering return of a partial route and to reduce a transmission power loss. CONSTITUTION: Remote absorption spectroscopy by encoded electrical transmission comprises a generator, a transmitter(110), and at least one receiver(130). The generator generates multispectral electromagnetic radiation waves with spectral contents in accord with an absorption band and an off-line band of a medium. The transmitter defines a relation of one or more spectral components inside the off-line band and one or more spectral components inside the absorption band by changing the generated spectral contents, thereby transmitting the changed radiation waves through the medium. The receiver is arranged at an arbitrary position with respect to the transmitter, thereby receiving the transmitted radiation waves through a line-of-sight propagation via the medium.
