<p>The method involves detecting a vehicle location signal which indicates a temporary position change of vehicle longitudinal axis relative to a base due to a targeted raising of a body of the vehicle (1) relative to a contact area (11) of wheels (9) of the vehicle on the base. The longitudinal acceleration signal is corrected considering the temporary position change based on the detected vehicle location signal.
