摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "segmented-in-series" fuel cell structure that has a support substrate with resistance to deformation when subjected to external force and that prevents detachment of a fuel electrode buried in each of depressions of the support substrate.SOLUTION: A fuel electrode (a region represented by fine dots) is buried in each of depressions 12 that are formed in a main surface of a flat support substrate. With respect to respective cross-sectional shapes, including respective lines L1 to L6, of the fuel electrode, a relation is established that is given by the following expression: E≤2.0*d, where the value d represents maximum length of "a range, contained within the fuel electrode, in the normal" that is drawn from "a portion of the outline of each cross-sectional shape corresponding to an outer side surface of the fuel electrode"; and the value E represents a distance between a neutral line, which is parallel to a reference line corresponding to a main surface of the support substrate and which divides the area of each cross-sectional shape into two equal parts, and an innermost point that is the most distant, from the neutral line, in a portion of the outline of each cross-sectional shape positioned on an inner side of the neutral line.
