A hybrid rectifier (14a) comprises a line-commutated diode rectifier (11) with a boost stage (L1, L2, D1, D2, S1) in series and a controlled rectifier (15, 16) working in parallel thereto connected to a 3-phase AC input (17) and a DC output (18). The controlled rectifier is choosen as a unidirectional 2-level "delta-switch" rectifier (15) or a 2-level "T-type" rectifier (16) as illustrated in figures 4 and 5 . |
