PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to obtain the reliability of a crank shaft by improving the strength of an intermediate shaft and reducing an inner diameter of a partitioning plate. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor comprises a motor, a crank shaft(4), a first piston(11a), a second piston(11b), a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and a partitioning plate. The motor includes a stator and a rotor. The crank shaft includes a main shaft(4a) which is fixed to the rotator, a sub shaft(4b), an eccentric unit(4c) of a main shaft side, an eccentric unit(4d) of a sub shaft side, and an intermediate shaft(4e). The first piston is interlocked with the eccentric unit of the main shaft side, and the second piston is interlocked with the eccentric unit of the sub shaft side. The first cylinder includes a cylindrical penetration hole. The eccentric unit of the main shaft side and the first piston are arranged in the penetration hole so that a compressive chamber can be formed. The compressive chamber of the first cylinder is partitioned off from the compressive chamber of the second cylinder by the partitioning plate.
