A flexible circuit assembly (100) comprises a pair of mating panels (102, 104). Each of the mating panels (102, 104) has an engagement face (114, 116) and a power contact (120, 126) thereon that is configured to electrically engage a corresponding electrical component. First and second flex interconnects (110, 112) mechanically and electrically couple the mating panels (102, 104). The first and second flex interconnects (110, 112) extend alongside each other and have respective interior surfaces (302, 304) that face each other and define a heat-dissipating interspace (234) therebetween. The first and second flex interconnects (110, 112) have a plurality of power conductors (240, 260, 340, 360) extending between and coupled to the power contacts (120, 126) of the pair of mating panels (102, 104). At least one of the power conductors (240, 260, 340, 360) extends proximate to the interior surface (302, 304) of one of the first and second flex interconnects (110, 112) such that thermal energy is dissipated into the interspace (234). |
