The device (1) has a chassis or support frame provided with a modular structure and including longitudinal side members (4). Adjustable blades (2) are mounted pivotingly between the side members around axes perpendicular to the side members. The side members are provided for supporting the blades together. A sealed covering plate (5) partially allowing passage of sunlight is arranged on the blades in different pivoting positions of the blades. The blades are equipped with an interconnection piece assuring mounting of the blades on the side members. The blades and the support frame are made of solid wood. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a shelter comprising lateral faces covered by a wall.
