<p>PURPOSE: A powderizing method and apparatus are provided to recycle waste polytetrafluoroethylene in a scrap shape into a nanometer size and to control particle size by controlling intensity of gamma ray and pulverizing time. CONSTITUTION: A powderizing apparatus for polytetrafluoroethylene comprises a pulverizer for flake pulverizing waste polytetrafluoroethylene; a gamma ray irradiator modifying the polytetrafluoroethylene flake; a wet pulverizer for wet-pulverizing the polymer-modified polytetrafluoroethylene; a dryer for drying polytetrafluoroethylene sludge; and a dryer and powderizing apparatus for dry-pulverizing the dried polytetrafluoroethylene sludge.
