A drumstick holder comprising: a member providing a surface 2 that may be planar; one or more clips 8 arranged to prevent or restrict free movement of a drumstick (40, Fig. 4) across the surface 2; means for fitting the member to a rim (42, Fig. 6) of a drum (48, Fig. 6); and a protective member protecting the clips 8 from breakage. The protecting member comprises one or more walls along at least part of respective sides of the drumstick holder. Each wall is configured to impede an object from impacting the retaining clips 8. The clips 8 may grip a drumstick (40, Fig. 4) around its shaft. The drumstick holder may include protrusions 10 that engage the drum (48, Fig. 6) at different positions around its circumference. The drumstick holder may include a clamp comprising two jaws the first 18 of which may hook over a drum hoop (42, Fig. 6), the second 20 may engage a drum head ring (46, Fig. 6) and may comprise sections at an oblique angle to one another. The clamp may be tightened using a drum key. |
