PURPOSE: A sequential phosphorus removal apparatus and method using the oxidation coherence are provided to prevent the bad effect in microorganism activity in an aeration basin by coagulant, and to effectively reduce the coagulant consumption. CONSTITUTION: A sequential phosphorus removal apparatus comprises a detritus tank(10), a primary settling basin(20), an aeration basin(30), a final settling basin(40), an oxidation basin(50) and a filtration basin (60) which are successively equipped; measurement devices (200, 310, 320, 330, 340, 410, 420); a coagulant injector(100); and an arithmetic unit(600). The measurement devices are installed in front end or rear end of the processing basins, and measure the flow rate of the effluent or inflow water, the inorganic phosphorus concentration and the total phosphorus concentration. The coagulant injector is connected to the effluent of the detritus tank, the effluent of the aeration basin or the effluent of the oxidation basin, and injects inorganic coagulant according to a control signal. The arithmetic unit receives a detection signal from the measurement devices, and controls the injection amount of the coagulant.
