PURPOSE: A black box system for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to implement a black box for a vehicle at a low cost by including the black box which carries out a first navigation calculation and an accident analyzing device which carries out a second navigation calculation. CONSTITUTION: A black box system for a vehicle comprises a black box(100) and an accident analyzing device(200). The black box comprises a first navigation calculation unit(150) and firstly carries outs navigation calculation to correct errors of an output value in an inertial sensor unit(120) mounted on the vehicle. The accident analyzing device comprises a second navigation calculation unit(210) and secondly calculates detailed navigation information of a position, a direction, a posture, and a speed for analysis of a vehicle accident.
