PURPOSE: A roll stand for a large rolling mill is provided to increase the length of a keeper plate which is supported by a guide hole, thereby maximizing the supported area of the keeper plate against the guide hole. CONSTITUTION: A roll stand for a large rolling mill includes a stand body and a roll movement preventing unit(120). The stand body is interposed between horizontal rolls(10) which are symmetrically placed at the upper and the lower sides of the stand body. The roll movement preventing unit on the stand body prevents the axial movements of the horizontal rolls. The stand bodies intersect with a path for transferring a beam blank, and have a first supporting plate(112a) and a second supporting plate between which the horizontal rolls are placed. The roll movement preventing units are mounted on the first and the second supporting plates adjacent to the rotary shafts of the horizontal rolls. The roll movement preventing unit has a keeper plate(122).
