PURPOSE: A material uplift control device is provided to use an uplift correction unit in order to absorb the impact generated when a material and the uplift correction unit are contacted with each other, thereby preventing damage to the material and the uplift control device caused by a collision with each other. CONSTITUTION: A material uplift control device comprises a rolling unit, a transfer roller unit, an uplift correction unit, a contact detector(40), and a control unit. The uplift correction unit is contacted with the fore-end part of the material which moves on the transfer roller unit to correct the uplift of the fore-end of the material, and absorbs the impact generated when contacting with the fore-end of the material. The contact detector is contacted with the fore-end of the material when the fore-end of the material is lifted up, and detects the uplift of the fore-end of the material. The control unit is connected with the contact detector in order to control the drive of the rolling unit according to the amount of uplift of the fore-end of the material detected by the contact detector.
