FOCUS SWEEP TYPE OF APPARATUS FOR TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION AND METHOD FOR TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION

PURPOSE: A focus sweeping type TMS(Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) device and a TMS method are provided to control stimulation intensity of at least two coils and enable a focus forming region to be moved, thereby applying stimulation across a certain area. CONSTITUTION: A focus sweeping type TMS device includes: at least two magnetic coil units(11a,11b) allowing the intensity of an induced magnetic field to be changed with time, and arranged to enable the intensity of the magnetic field to be overlapped on at least a partial region; and a control device to control the voltage of the magnetic coil units periodically. The at least two magnetic coil units are arranged spatially to enable a stimulation focus to be moved within a fixed area at regular intervals by the change of magnetic field intensity, thereby applying stimulation across a certain area.
