PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a control method thereof are provided to offer divided objects on a screen by dividing the objects selected from a list. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) receives a touch input. The display unit displays a plurality of objects. A control unit(180) senses the touch input for one or more objects. The control unit controls a three-dimensional depth value of the touched object in order to separate the touched object from other objects. The control unit generates an icon which indicates the number of the touched objects. The control unit controls the three-dimensional depth value of the icon based on the number of the touched objects.
