PURPOSE: A light emitting pen is provided to detect the contact of the fingers of a user, which grip the pen, in order to actuate a light emitting unit inside a character at the body or one end of the body of the pen, thereby emitting light. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting pen includes a power supply(12), a first sensor(13), and a light emitting unit(14). The power supply is installed inside a body(10). The first sensor on the outer circumferential surface of the body detects the contact of fingers which grip the first sensor, and is supplied with power from the power supply. The light emitting unit at the body is electrically connected to the first sensor so that the light emitting unit can emit light according to the signal of the first sensor. A character(17) is coupled to one end of the body. The light emitting unit is installed inside the character.
