PURPOSE: An actuator for an electric parking brake system is provided to improve the assembly of an actuator, miniaturize the actuator, reduce the noise and vibration, and prevent water penetration. CONSTITUTION: An actuator for an electric parking brake system comprises a first case(12), a housing, a second case(14), a motor case, and a direction maintaining unit. The first case is installed with a motor and accepts an output unit. The housing accepts a power transmission unit and is settled in the first case. The power transmission unit connects the motor and the output unit. The second case is combined with the first case for restricting the housing. The motor case is combined with the first case to restrict the motor. The direction maintaining part settles the motor in the first case into a regular direction.
