PURPOSE: A support for a fishing rod is provided to contract a holding groove at a rear support in order to grasp the rod when holding the rod on the groove and to expand the groove when removing the weight of the rod from the groove with snatching the rod from a front support. CONSTITUTION: A support for a fishing rod includes a front support(2) and a rear support(3). A fishing rod holding unit is formed at one side of the front support, and a cam part(21) is formed at the other side of the front support. The front support is coupled to a support fixing unit(1) with a rotary pin(22) and a spring is interposed between the front support and the support fixing unit when the cam part is inclined so that the front support cam move up and down on the rotary pin. The rear support is divided into both sides of which the centers are mutually connected with a central shaft(33). A holding groove(32) is formed on the upper side of the rear support, and a cam groove(35) is formed at the lower side of the rear support. The both sides rotate on the central shaft so that the cam groove and the holding groove can be expanded and contracted. The central shaft is coupled to the support fixing unit. |
