PURPOSE: An image control device of a projector and a method thereof are provided to reduce a horizontal blank period of image signals, thereby improving the brightness of the projector. CONSTITUTION: An image control device of a projector comprises a control unit(101) and a driving unit(102). The control unit receives image signals including an active period and a blank period from a scanner and reduces a horizontal blank period included in the blank period so that the active period is extended to a first period. A moving speed of the scanner in the first period is relatively slower than the moving speed in a second period.
