PURPOSE: An IC(Integrated Circuit) chip capable of performing repetitive writing as many as the predetermined number and a data recording method thereof are provided to repetitively perform a writing operation as many as the predetermined number in case data is not normally recorded due to a temporary environmental factor or difference of writing delay time according to IC chips. CONSTITUTION: A reading operation is performed to read an existing value from a data storage position where data(USR_DATA) used for operating an IC chip is stored(S710). A writing operation is performed to record the existing value in the IC chip(S720). A writing operation is performed to record a new value requested for recording in the data storage position(S730). Read data in the data storage position and the new value requested for recording are compared(S740). In case the read value and the new value requested for recording are different, a writing operation is performed to record the new value requested for recording in the data storage position as many as the predetermined number at a predetermined interval of time(S750). The read value in the data storage position is compared with the new value requested for recording(S760). In case the read value and the new value requested for recording are different, a writing operation is performed to record the existing value in the data storage position(S770). The read value in the data storage position is compared with the existing value(S780). In case the read value and the existing value are different, a shut down message or a failure message is provided to an external device(S790).
