PURPOSE: A zinc oxide-cellulose nano composite is provided to form zinc oxide seed particles on, in, and out of a cellulose film for excellent piezoelectricity, flexibility, biodegradation, and bio compatibility. CONSTITUTION: A zinc oxide-cellulose nano composite comprises tight zinc oxide layers. The zinc oxide layer 5-40 by weight % is included for the total nano composite. The zinc oxide layer has 100-1000nm in thickness. A method of making a zinc oxide-cellulose nano composite comprises the following steps. A cellulose film is made. On, in, and out of the cellulose film, a zinc oxide seed is formed. Using the seed, zinc oxide particles are grown, and a nano composite comprising zinc oxide layers is made. A method of growing the zinc oxide seed comprises the following steps. The cellulose film is mixed with a liquid of zinc or an amine group for 1-12 hours at a temperature of 50-90°C. |
