PURPOSE: A security monitoring system with a wired/wireless communication network and a method thereof are provided to enable a remote creditor to confirm a state of security in remote place. CONSTITUTION: A security monitoring system comprises a security(110), a security terminal(120), a center control server(140), an observer terminal(150), and a creditor terminal(160). The security terminal installed in the security senses the change information of the security such as movement, vibration, a position, and power use and provides the same to the center control server. The change information is transmitted to the observer terminal. An observer confirms the security corresponding to the change information.
