PURPOSE: A battery discharge prevention system for a railway vehicle and a railway vehicle thereof are provided to implement stability of operation by automatically charging a battery. CONSTITUTION: A battery supplies operating power to a load. A battery voltage detection unit(20) detects voltage of the battery. A dead battery starter(30) determines operation according to a battery state signal. An auxiliary power supply unit(40) receives control power from the dead battery starter. The auxiliary power supply unit charges the battery with the power.
