PURPOSE: An image decoding device is provided to use an intra-prediction mode of left and right blocks of a current block, thereby reducing the number of bits required for the encoding of the intra-prediction mode of the current block. CONSTITUTION: A parsing unit(310) decodes intra-prediction information and conversion block size information in a received bitstream. A prediction mode decoding unit(320) generates an MPM group by using intra-prediction modes of blocks which are adjacent to a current block and restores an intra-prediction mode of the current block. A prediction block size determination unit(330) determines a size of a prediction block of the current block by using a block conversion size. A reference pixel filtering unit(360) adaptively filters reference pixels corresponding to the restored intra-prediction mode and the size of the prediction block. A prediction block generation unit(370) generates the prediction block corresponding to the intra-prediction mode.
