The device (10) has a base plate (24) supporting a grabbing part (31) and an elastic tab (46), which are projected on both sides of the plate in an axial insertion direction. The grabbing part is located on a side of the plate to fix with an axial block and to allow positional displacement of clearance of the plate with respect to edges (20) of openings (15, 16) of to-be-fixed elements (11, 12) in a direction transverse to the axial insertion direction. A flexible strip (35) is laterally projected in the transverse direction with respect to the grabbing part to correct clearance of the plate. An independent claim is also included for a subassembly for a vehicle.
