PURPOSE: A 3D image compression method based on color space an ROI(Region Of Interest) and a device thereof are provided to apply each compression ratio to a color element of a color space, thereby identically maintaining the amount of data and improving image quality. CONSTITUTION: A 3D image compression device synchronizes a left image and a right image(S201). The 3D image compression device converts a first color space of a generated reference image(S202). The 3D image compression device synchronizes depth information with a converted second color space of the reference image and rearranges color space values(S203). The 3D image compression device designates an ROI for the second color space and sets compression parameters of each interested region(S204). The 3D image compression device compresses the second color space based on the compression parameters(S205).
