PURPOSE: A prefabricated building unit and a prefabricated building thereby are provided to enable the self-support of a column by fitting the column to the bottom socket of a bottom frame and improve the workability by a bolted joint. CONSTITUTION: A prefabricated building unit and a prefabricated building thereby comprise a bottom frame(100), a column(210), and a ceiling frame(300). The bottom frame is assembled by connecting in between the bottom beams(110) through a corner connecting piece(320). A bottom socket(130) is installed in the corner connecting piece. The column is installed on the bottom socket. The ceiling frame is assembled by connecting in between the ceiling beams(310) through the corner connecting piece. A ceiling socket(330) is installed in the corner connecting piece and is connected to the column.
