PURPOSE: A latch and an insert for loading a semiconductor device comprising the same are provided to prevent damage to the latch by not interfering loading of a semiconductor chip package. CONSTITUTION: A latch installed in an insert for loading a semiconductor chip package includes a driver(34), connection bars(32a,32b) and latch heads(31a,31b). The driver includes a joint groove in the center region. The connection bars are extended outward from both ends of the joint groove. The latch heads are protruded on both ends of the connection bar.
