Use of oxytocin (I) or its analogue or compound, stimulating oxytocic activity for preventing and/or treating hypertrophy of abdominal fat tissue in a subject, is claimed. An independent claim is included for a product comprising at least one compound comprising (I), and at least a compound comprising parathormone, growth hormone, vitamin D, bisphosphonates, calcium, calcitonin, strontium ranelate, and/or peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor. ACTIVITY : Antidiabetic; Hypotensive; Cardiovascular-Gen.; Hepatotropic; Anorectic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Oxytocin receptor agonist.
