<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and equipment for crosslinking or vulcanizing a long element. <P>SOLUTION: A conductor element is coated with a layer of a crosslinkable synthetic material in an extrusion molding stage (4) and a crosslinking reaction is initiated after the extrusion molding stage (4). In a preheating stage (3) before the extrusion molding stage (4), the conductor element is preheated by inductively generating an eddy current in the conductor element to heat it. In the preheating stage (3), a temperature of the conductor element is gradually raised so that a temperature difference (DT) between the outermost area (a) and ab inside layer (b) of the conductor element becomes below a given level at the end of the preheating stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
