<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub which enables a bathing posture to be reliably maintained by making a position of a handheld recess clearly and visually recognized by an aged person with weak vision or the like while giving consideration to a user's comfort and safety. <P>SOLUTION: An apron part 12 is provided with the recess 123 provided in a position to hold the user's fingertips while the user during bathing applies his/her own palm to a flange part 11.
