The present invention relates to a method and system for determining the position of a financial transaction terminal. The system for determining the position of the financial transaction terminal includes: an identifying module for verifying the identification of the financial transaction terminal making a request for a financial transaction if the financial transaction terminal requests a banking system for the financial transaction through a network; a position verification module for verifying positional information of a valid user corresponding to the financial transaction request; and a control module for determining a position determined on the basis of the positional information verified by the position verification module, as the position of the financial transaction terminal.
