PURPOSE: An optical device and a display device having the same are provided to effectively protect wavelength conversion particles from external moisture or oxygen. CONSTITUTION: An encapsulation part seals a tube(410). A solvent(440) is arranged in the tube. Wavelength conversion particles(430) are uniformly dispersed in the solvent. The wavelength conversion particles change the wavelength of the light emitted from light emitting diodes. The boiling point of the solvent is 180 to 350°C.
