<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet, and a method for manufacturing a permanent magnet allowing the whole magnet to be densely sintered without leaving voids between the main phase and the grain boundary phase of the magnet after sintering. <P>SOLUTION: An organometallic compound solution containing an organometallic compound represented by M-(OR)<SB POS="POST">x</SB>, where M represents Cu, Al, Dy, Tb, V, Mo, Zr, Ta, Ti, W, or Nb, R represents a substituent composed of a hydrocarbon and may be a straight chain or a branched chain, and x represents an arbitrary integer, is added to a fine powder of a ground neodymium magnet so that the organometallic compound homogeneously adheres to the surfaces of the particles of the neodymium magnet. Hydrogen calcination treatment is performed by drying the magnet powder and keeping the dried magnet powder in a hydrogen atmosphere at pressures higher than atmospheric pressures and temperatures of 200°C to 900°C for several hours, and dehydrogenation treatment is performed by keeping the powdery object calcined by the hydrogen calcination treatment in a vacuum atmosphere at 200°C to 600°C for several hours. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
