<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 achieving improvement in steering stability without spoiling riding quality while suppressing an increase in the mass. <P>SOLUTION: The tire 2 is formed by being assembled on the outer surface of a toroidal core and by being pressurized and heated in a cavity formed between a mold and the core. The tire 2 includes a tread 4, a pair of sidewalls 6 each extending radially substantially inward from the end of the tread 4, a pair of beads 8 each located radially substantially inside the sidewall 6, a carcass 10 bridged between the one bead 8 with the other bead 8, an inner liner 14 located inside the carcass 10, and a reinforcing layer 16 located between the carcass 10 and the inner liner 14.
