PURPOSE: A method for learning English and an English learning system using the same are provided to improve efficiency of English education by understanding and learning English sentences easily by patterning meaning sentences. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether a learner accessing a homepage through a communication network or a user terminal is a member or not(ST100). A learning menu for an initial part comprising subject, subject+auxiliary verb, subject+quasi auxiliary verb is provided to the learner(ST200). A learning menu for a middle part comprising verb, verb+object is provided, after the learner finishes the learning of the initial part(ST300). A learning menu for an ending part modifying the middle part is provided after the learner finishes the learning of the middle part(ST400). A practice menu through English sentences comprising the initial part, the middle part and the ending part is provided to the learner(ST500). A repetitive learning menu comprising long English sentences is provided for the learner(ST600).
